Give out love and light and receive love and light

In past posts I’ve mentioned how as children we see the world as pure, simple, and innocent. When children wake, the thoughts in their beautiful minds are playing, being creative, and seeing the beauty of the world as it is all around them. As we grow we have so much that clutters our minds thoughts. Work/careers, finances, relationships (friends, family, or romantic), schedules, the daily news, etc., When we are adulting with our minds full of so much daily clutter we forget how the world once appeared to us as children with its beauty and simplicity. We need to reset our minds a little bit to find joy in each day and give our inner souls some peace.

I always like to say, “Give out love and light and receive love and light”. What does this mean? It is a simple practice that can be used every morning in a few simple minutes before your feet step on the floor. Set our intentions for the day! There are so many ways to do this and here are a few examples, “I can’t wait to see what amazing things are going to come my way today”, “I am going to be happy and not let anyone dim my light today”, or “I will give out positivity and receive positivity throughout my day”. You get it! I have started to ask our 12-year-old to set his intentions for the day, because he can tend to start off the day by telling himself something like, “todays going to suck, because I have so and so class”. I would be like, “yep, putting that out to the universe first thing in your morning, your day is going to suck”. It has taken him some time and he doesn’t do it every day, but I have asked to think of all the amazing things he will get out of his day. The days he practices placing good intentions on his day, he has positive and happy days. So, put it out there that your day is simply going to be beautiful and watch the universe give you what you asked for.

Honestly set intentions for a week, a month, a year, towards an amazing goal you want to reach, there are no limitations. Then practice a few minutes every morning to make sure you are on track for the longer intentions you have placed out there. Remember this is a practice and will not happen overnight, but eventually you will have reset your mind to always have amazing intentions and the universe is always listening to your thoughts. After all I am a strong believer we are all a work in progress in our lives and with the right intentions in place our days will be amazing.

Life is a Journey my Friends, make it what you want it to be!

Hugs,

Kathleen
